Ally Caple (b. Connecticut, USA) is an image-based artist and educator located in New York City. Her work in education primarily centers high school-aged youth and emerging artists, building curriculum and leading programs that focus on visual literacy, creative development, and intentional connection between one’s practice and audience.
In 2021, she co-released The Photographer’s Green Book (Vol. 1) under the collective platform of the same name and lead the Expanding The Walls teen photography program at the Studio Museum in Harlem from 2022-2026. Continuing her work in education, Caple currently leads the Engaging Artist Fellowship at More Art and works closely with Storm King Art Center on their youth program offerings.
Her current photographic practice considers state and community surveillance, digital identity safety, and Black visibility in imagemaking. Studio portrait courtesy of Wassaic Project.
